Originally called Best of San Diego 100 Miler when it debuted in 2017, Best Runner Leaves No Tracks is a $20 fat-ass event capped at 25 runners — no course markings, no awards, no crew support, just water stops. The 100-mile loop from Del Mar gains roughly 10,000 feet across coastal trails and roads, with a strict 24-hour cutoff enforced at intermediate water stops. The self-supported format demands independent navigation by runners carrying their own provisions. Last held November 2023, the event was listed as cancelled on UltraSignup as of that registration page.
