Brazos Bend
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2013 at Brazos Bend State Park south of Houston, Brazos Bend 100 runs six figure-8 loops of 16.74 miles on some of the flattest 100-mile trail in the country — crushed rock, sheltered hiking trail, and horse paths with a single 10-foot rise across the entire course. The 32-hour cutoff qualifies finishers for the Western States lottery; 133 runners earned entries in 2025. Wildlife is a genuine variable: American alligators, wild hogs, and venomous snakes inhabit the park's lakes and sloughs. Starting elevation is 30 feet.
