South Carolina · Mount Pleasant
Charleston
Founded in 2018, the Charleston 100 was a self-supported out-and-back across the South Carolina Lowcountry: from the Park West track in Mount Pleasant south on Highway 17 to Isle of Palms, around Sullivan's Island, through the Old Village, over the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, around the Charleston peninsula to the end of the West Ashley Greenway and back. All paved road — no trail, no markings, no scheduled aid; runners sourced food from gas stations and bars. Entry cost $1. In its final December 2024 edition, Anthony Brungard won in 14:55. The seventh running was its last.
