Copper Kings
Launched in 2025 as an officially permitted race after informal editions in 2023 and 2024, Copper Kings 100 runs a single 100-mile loop through the mining landscape of Butte, Montana, starting at the historic Belmont Mine at 4 a.m. The course incorporates 63 miles of the Continental Divide Trail across the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, with 13,960 feet of gain concentrated in long, sustained climbs reaching 8,400 feet. A push to the Lady of the Rockies statue and a closing loop through Uptown Butte add urban grit to the mountain miles; the 40-hour cutoff drew 85.7% of 2025 starters to the finish.
