Cowboy 200
The Cowboy 200 launched in November 2022 as Nebraska's first 200-mile race, running point-to-point from Norfolk to Valentine entirely on the Cowboy Trail — a crushed-limestone rails-to-trails corridor that is flat, non-technical, and closed to vehicles. The 200-mile course crosses 200+ historic railroad bridges, the largest a quarter-mile long and 148 feet high; Bolo Beer Co. in Valentine anchors the finish. Eleven manned and at least eight unmanned aid stations support runners, with three designated sleep stations; the 84-hour cutoff and zero repeated sections make it a go-to first 200-miler.
