Crazy Mountain
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2022 by rancher and ultrarunner Megan DeHaan, Crazy Mountain is Montana's first 100-miler — point-to-point from Westling Ranch in Wilsall to Berg Ranch near Lennep across the Awaxaawippíia (Crazy Mountains). The course mixes single-track, forest road, and cairn-followed ridgelines into ~23,000 feet of gain, reaching 10,200 feet across four sustained summit ascents; some aid gaps exceed 13 miles. A 36-hour cutoff and mandatory qualifying ultra enforce self-sufficiency. The race opens with an Apsáalooke welcome ceremony and closes with locally raised beef at the finish.
