Devil's Gulch
Devil's Gulch covers 100 miles and 20,000 feet of gain through the eastern Cascades on a loop starting and finishing at Mission Ridge near Wenatchee. The course climbs Mission Peak and Mt. Lillian, traverses Tronsen Ridge, then descends through the namesake canyon on rocky technical single-track and gravel forest road. July heat is the defining variable: the race averages 92°F, with 2021 topping 100°F and producing only three finishers. The 39-hour cutoff is firm; a mandatory 2-liter water carry and a prior 50-miler are required.
