Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2014, Eastern States 100 runs 103 miles as a single loop circumnavigating the Pine Creek watershed in Pennsylvania's Wilds — 98% single and double-track, 20,000 feet of gain across repeated 900–1,200-foot climbs on the Mid State, Black Forest, and West Rim trails. The route passes Gillespie Point and remote hollows with abandoned stone quarries; rattlesnakes are documented. Entry requires a prior 50K finish. The 36-hour cutoff yields a historical finish rate of about 49%, dropping to 30% in hot years; in 2025, 133 of 258 starters finished.
