Festivus
Festivus runs 14 loops of a 7.2-mile trail through longleaf pine and palmetto flatlands outside Middleburg — 225 feet of gain per loop, roughly 3,150 feet for the 100-mile distance. The name is a Seinfeld reference: Rule 62 runs through the event's DNA, and the atmosphere skews deliberately irreverent. At 38 hours, the cutoff is generous by 100-mile standards; the race bills itself as the longest trail race in northeast Florida. Race director Mike Martinez keeps the course heavily marked and illuminated through the night.
