Fools Ultra 420

Sep 15, 2026

Born in 2023 from a COVID-era brainstorm, the Fools Ultra 420 runs 420 miles point-to-point across New York state — Niagara Falls east through the Adirondacks, past Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake, finishing at the Samuel Champlain Statue on Lake Champlain near Port Henry. Runners have 13 days and 312 hours to finish, maintaining at least 32 miles per day. Two categories operate simultaneously: Un-Afraid runners carry everything from the start; Afraid runners have crew access along the route. Shorter options of 226 and 100 miles start at different points along the same corridor.
