FSR 100
Debuting in October 2024, FSR 100 is a 102-mile loop run entirely on forest service roads through the Cherokee National Forest and into North Georgia, starting at Thunder Rock Campground in Copperhill, Tennessee. The course gains 11,254 feet — a full mountain-climbing profile despite all-road surface — with rivers, ridge views, and fall foliage along the route. Forest service roads remain open to vehicle traffic throughout. The 32-hour cutoff proved demanding at the inaugural edition, with Brandon Wiitala (27:02) and Beth Ford (29:04) setting the first course records.
