Go Big 100
Go Big 100 runs 100 miles of 100% pavement point-to-point from Volcano Village on the flank of Mauna Loa down through the Ka'u District to Kailua-Kona on the Kona Coast, losing 9,000 feet over the course while gaining 5,000. The course is entirely road — no aid stations, no crew support provided — runners must pre-position their own drops or arrange crew independently. Part of Hawaii Mountain Running's New Year's series launched in 2020 to benefit the Hawaii Wildlife Fund, the 100-miler carries a firm 48-hour cutoff: reaching the finish at 48:01 earns no official credit.
