Grandmaster

Feb 26, 2027

Founded in 2019 by Beiyi Zheng and Daniel Wilson, Grandmaster Ultras is open exclusively to runners 50 and older — no younger athletes in the field. The 100-mile course runs the Thelma & Louise Loop on ATV trails across the Arizona Strip near Mesquite, Nevada twice over, accumulating roughly 4,900 feet of gain through desert terrain with views into Beaver Dam Wash. The 48-hour cutoff — two miles per hour minimum — was deliberately set to give grandmaster-age athletes enough time to actually finish; runners 70 and older may use pacers from the start of any distance.
