Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2015, Hennepin Hundred runs 100 miles point-to-point from Sinissippi Park in Sterling, Illinois to Colona, just west of the Mississippi River, entirely on the Hennepin Canal State Trail — Illinois's longest multi-use trail. The surface is a mix of dirt, chip-and-seal, crushed limestone, and scattered pavement: fast, flat, and shoe-destroying. Historic locks and lift bridges mark the route through autumn cornfields and small towns. A Western States 100 qualifier since 2019 with a 30-hour cutoff; in 2025, 204 runners finished the 100-mile distance.
