Born as a pandemic-era fatass event in 2020 and formalized in 2022, Hindsight runs 13 loops of a 7.85-mile course on Dixon Park District land in Dixon, Illinois — 103 miles total. The loop is roughly half single-track, 30% grassy meadow path, and 20% gravel, with tree roots, stumps, and ankle-rolling terrain; total gain for the full distance is 6,200 feet. Two aid stations support the course — start/finish and a water-only stop at mile 3.7 — with pacers allowed after the first lap. The 32-hour cutoff ends at 2:30 PM Sunday.
