Kodiak
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Kodiak circumnavigates the entire Big Bear Valley on a 100-mile loop — most of it above 7,000 feet — including over 20 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail and a summit of Sugarloaf Mountain at 9,995 feet. The course crosses three distinct climate zones: sub-alpine, semi-arid high desert with Joshua trees, and alpine pine forest. It drops into Siberia Canyon before a 6.5-mile, 3,000-foot climb back to the south ridge; the race starts and finishes in the village of Big Bear Lake and is part of the UTMB World Series.
