Lake Martin
Founded in 2013, Lake Martin 100 runs four laps of a 25.09-mile loop on the private Russell Forest Trail System along Lake Martin in east-central Alabama. The course is 85% singletrack with roots and white marble chunks, the rest gravel roads and carriage paths; hills are relentless but short — the lone notable climb to Heaven Hill Aid Station rises 200 feet over half a mile. Total gain is approximately 14,000 feet. The 32-hour cutoff and approachable design frame it as a first-100 option; the 2025 100-mile drew only 3 official finishers.
