Lost 118
Founded in 2007, Lost 118 circumnavigates Lake Okeechobee counterclockwise — 118 miles on top of the Herbert Hoover Levee, starting and finishing in Clewiston. The surface is mostly 10-foot-wide paved asphalt with roughly 15 miles of crushed shell double-track; the levee stands 35 feet high and offers no shade, no trees, and no protection from wind for the full distance. There are no aid stations: all runners require a mandatory crew, with 22 designated access points, or can enter the self-supported cart division. The half-way cutoff is 18 hours; the finish cutoff is 38 hours.
