Loup Garou
Founded in 2017, Loup Garou runs five 20-mile loops of mostly single-track around Lake Chicot in Chicot State Park near Ville Platte, Louisiana — rooty cypress swamp trail, long wooden boardwalks through the wetlands, and hardwood forest. The terrain delivers more elevation than the region's flatness suggests, with roughly 2,000 feet of gain per loop for approximately 10,000 feet total over 100 miles. The cutoff is 30 hours from the 7:00 AM Saturday start. The December 2026 edition is the 10th and final year of the race.
