Medusa
Medusa ran 10 loops of a 10.7-mile soft-surface trail through the Medina River bottomland on San Antonio's south side — woodland, open pasture, and riverside single-track with around 2,000 feet of total gain. Three aid stations sit at miles 3, 6, and the start/finish of each loop. The 32-hour cutoff, crew-optional format, and gentle terrain made it an accessible entry point into hundred-mile running. The course operated out of Neal Road in the rural fringe south of the city; current status is uncertain as the original organizer has listed the race as no longer active.
