Miami 125 operated as a post-finish add-on challenge appended directly to the Miami 100 — runners who completed the 100-mile urban Miami course within the 32-hour cutoff continued immediately for an additional 25 miles, finishing 125 total miles through Miami's streets and sidewalks with a 40-hour overall limit. The challenge was folded into the Running Ninja Events weekend rather than standing as an independent event; in at least one recent year the bonus distance was extended to 130 miles honoring Miami's 130th birthday. No separate registration existed outside the Miami 100.
