Midwest Everest
Sep 26, 2026
Founded in 2020 by the West Michigan Whiskey Rollers, Midwest Everest accumulates exactly 29,029 feet of gain — the height of Mount Everest — through 152 repeats of a 0.6-mile ski run up Cannonsburg Quad and down the Double, plus four ~2-mile segments of wooded single-track scattered throughout. No pacing is allowed; crew accesses runners at the start/finish every loop. The 36-hour cutoff for the 100-mile distance makes it one of the most vertical events in the Midwest, with a course record of 26:06 set in 2024.
