Mountaineer Rumble

Mountaineer Rumble runs three 31.1-mile loops through Kings Mountain State Park in South Carolina, then a 6.7-mile closing loop — 100 miles total with roughly 7,500 feet of gain on the CCC Multi-Use Trail, National Recreational Trail, and Poplar Point Trail. The course threads past creek hollows, Civilian Conservation Corps remnants, and hardwood ridgelines. Five aid stations per loop and crew access only at the start/finish anchor the logistics. The 32-hour cutoff and custom buckle finish have drawn runners since at least 2020.
