Peak
The Bloodroot Ultra — Peak Races' flagship event, now under Spartan Trail — puts 100-milers on ten 10-mile loops behind Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont, through Green Mountain National Forest on private and forest service land. The mix of singletrack and forest roads accumulates more than 20,000 feet of gain across the foothills. Runners must begin their final loop by 6 PM (headlamp mandatory); the course closes at 9 PM. Attrition is severe: the 2024 edition produced only 5 finishers at the 100-mile distance. The event also fields a 200-mile distance on the same loop.
