Resurrection Pass
Debuted in 2003 on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, Resurrection Pass 100 follows the historic gold-miners' route between Hope and Cooper Landing — an out-and-back on the Resurrection Pass National Recreation Trail with a Devil's Creek spur, totaling 100 miles of remote wilderness. Only two checkpoints exist (miles 42 and 68.5); runners must be largely self-sufficient, and bears and moose are a genuine presence. No entry fee — donations welcome. The 33-hour cutoff is enforced at intermediate checkpoints. Geoff Roes holds the course record. Kenai summer temperatures swing from the 30s to 70s.
