Rim To River
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2020 by Bryant Baker, a New River Gorge whitewater guide, Rim to River is West Virginia's first 100-mile trail race — out-and-back through New River Gorge National Park on singletrack and rail-to-trail, with 12,000 feet of gain between 823 and 2,015 feet of elevation. Ghost towns, coke ovens, mine shafts, cemeteries, and Finn's Falls mark the route; runners collect a keychain at Long Point Overlook (mile 37) as proof of passage. The 32-hour cutoff yields a custom belt buckle and handmade local mug; sub-24-hour earns a special buckle. Proceeds benefit Adventure Appalachia.
