Rio Del Lago

Founded in 2000, Rio Del Lago runs 100 miles from Beal's Point in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area through the Sierra Nevada foothills, linking the American River 50 and Way Too Cool 50K courses. The route mixes single-track, oak-woodland trail, paved bike path, and creek crossings—including No Hands Bridge and a Folsom Prison stretch known as the Johnny Cash Trail. Roughly 14,000 feet of gain and a 30-hour cutoff make it a popular first-hundred. In 2025, Lindsey Dwyer set the women's course record at 15:51; 197 runners finished. A Western States qualifier.
