San Diego 200
Founded in 2020 by Phillip Kwaʼhan Espinoza on Kumeyaay ancestral land, the San Diego 200 circumnavigates the county — 200 miles of coastline, downtown San Diego, mountains, and desert, split evenly between trail and pavement. Profits go to Native American charity; the field is capped and all entrants must carry their own crew. The 82-hour cutoff spans four days. After the race went dormant, organizers Gabe Peterson and Alex Esquivel — the last two finishers of the original event — revived it; the 2023 edition was limited to 24 ultrarunners.
