San Juan Softie
Debuted in 2024, San Juan Softie runs 104 miles north of Durango through the San Juan Mountains on the Colorado Trail and surrounding high-alpine terrain — steep mountain singletrack averaging 10,282 feet, topping out at 12,438 feet, with 19,000 feet of gain and a 38-hour cutoff. The name is deliberately ironic: it is the "softest" 100-miler in the San Juans only by comparison to Hardrock and Ouray. The 2025 field numbered 26; Bronson Fiore won in 24:08 and Alexandra Schiavoni in 31:54.
