Scout Mountain
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 2009, Scout Mountain covers 102.5 miles through the Caribou-Targhee National Forest outside Pocatello — point-to-point, with roughly 22,000 feet of gain across the Bannock and Pocatello mountain ranges, summiting its namesake peak at nearly 8,700 feet. Terrain is predominantly technical single-track; several gaps between aid stations exceed 10 miles, and carrying a course GPX is mandatory. Early June weather can swing from snow and hail to intense heat. The 100M became a Hardrock qualifier in 2025 and requires an eight-hour volunteer or trail-work service commitment for entry.
