Shippey
Founded in 2019, the Shippey runs on private trails at Beaumont Scout Reservation on the St. Louis-Jefferson County border — land not open to the public outside race weekend. The 100-mile distance (101.7 miles) covers a 20-mile loop five times with about 15,000 feet of gain; legs run 3.3–5.3 miles each. Trail composition is 75% single and double track, 25% jeep roads, with 35–40% grade climbs built without switchbacks by the Scouts who originally cut them. The course direction alternates: clockwise in odd years, counterclockwise in even. The race is held in January.
