Southern States 200
Inaugural in April 2024, Southern States 200 is the only known 200-mile point-to-point mountain trail run east of the Rockies — 203.14 miles and 27,933 feet of gain along the Pinhoti Trail from near Dalton, Georgia to the summit of Mt. Cheaha, Alabama's highest point. The course is 82% single and double-track through Chattahoochee and Talladega National Forests, with 15 fully staffed aid stations offering made-to-order hot food around the clock and five heated sleep stations. The 100-hour cutoff and extensive support infrastructure produced an 86% finish rate in the 2024 debut.
