Standhope
Jul 25, 2026
The Standhope Ultra Challenge series dates to 2013; the 100-mile distance was added in 2022. The route is point-to-point through Idaho's Pioneer Mountains — from Park Creek to Star Hope Campground — with over 23,000 feet of gain on high-alpine single-track reaching 11,000 feet at Standhope Pass. Seven major climbs define the course, including a miles-long exposed ridge to PK Pass. Aid station gaps are long with no cell service, and some stretches demand full self-sufficiency. The 39-hour cutoff filters for genuine mountain readiness.
