tBunk
Founded in 2013 and named in honor of Tom Bunk — a mentor and ultrarunner who died in September 2014 — tBunk runs 11 loops of the 9.19-mile Blue Loop through the Nordic trail system in Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest, totaling 101 miles on 100% unpaved trail with roughly 9,000 feet of gain. The race is cupless, allows pacers after the first 5 loops, and raises all proceeds for Kettle Moraine State Forest projects, including a permanent shelter at the Scuppernong trailhead. The 100-mile cutoff is 30 hours; the event also offers 50-mile, 150-mile, and 200-mile distances on the same loop.
