Tuscobia
Founded in 2009, Tuscobia Winter Ultra covers 160 miles out-and-back on the Tuscobia and Wild Rivers State Trails — a flat, snow-covered converted rail trail between Rice Lake and Park Falls in northern Wisconsin. Participants run, bike, or ski; no crew, no pacers, and no outside assistance are allowed at any point, with checkpoints providing water only. Dropped runners face pickup by snowmobile. The 160-mile distance serves as an ITI qualifier; male and female winners from each discipline are entered into a drawing for one paid guaranteed entry to the Iditarod Trail Invitational. The 2026 edition was the 16th.
