Virgil Crest
First held in 2008 as the Iroquois Trails Ultras, Virgil Crest runs three loops through Tuller Hill and Kennedy State Forests and Greek Peak Mountain Resort — each loop beginning with a climb up a double-black-diamond ski slope. The 100-mile course includes roughly 18,000 feet of gain across 77 miles of hilly single-track, 16 miles of dirt and gravel road, and 7 miles of pavement, with a 36-hour cutoff. The race went on hiatus after 2015 and returned in 2021; the course shifts intentionally year to year. In 2025, 9 runners finished.
