Utah · Kaysville
Qualifier status per the 2026 lists
Founded in 1980 as Utah's third 100-miler, Wasatch runs a point-to-point route through the central Wasatch Range between 5,000 and 10,480 feet, covering footpaths, game trails, scree, cobblestones, and waist-high grass — a combination that has produced DNF rates historically above 40%. Race director John Grobben, who has held the post since 1988, is known for opening the pre-race meeting by explicitly refusing to introduce the elite runners in the field. Any runner cut at Bountiful 'B' or Big Mountain must complete another certified 100-miler before being allowed back.
